Silver ring

Lotus symbol
The lotus is a real relic: one of the first flowering plants on the Earth, which left its mark on paleobotanists in the late Mesozoic era.
Every morning, the lotus, greeting the Sun, unfolds its petals to meet it. The roots of the lotus are immersed in the water, reaching the silted bottom, but the flower is always clean: the structure of the leaves creates a lotus effect and no dust is able to contaminate it. Therefore, the lotus symbolizes purity and spiritual greatness.
The healing properties of the lotus have been described in ancient Chinese herbal medicine manuscripts for 4,700 years. Images of the lotus have been preserved in murals, bas-reliefs, and mosaics of religious buildings of ancient Egypt and Assyria. The lotus was used in ancient times both as medicine and food because the plant has edible roots. In the traditions of Japan, China and India the lotus is still a sacred plant. The living flowering lotus adorns Buddhist temples, and statues often depict the lotus throne in which Buddha meditates. The famous Lotus Temple in the Indian city of Delhi is an architectural monument and a house of prayer.
