Lotuses symbolize the irresistible will to live because although they grow from silt, they impress with their radiant beauty. There is no dirt lingers on them, and this phenomenon is called the “lotus effect”.
The lotus is a relic of the plant world. The first prints of plants of the lotus family, found by archaeologists, in antiquity date back to the Cretaceous period and are considered to be one of the first species.
The lake, decorated with lotuses, embodies all the beauty of the world. Therefore, traditionally, it is the symbol of purity and wisdom, which occupies an honorable place among the important plants for mankind. Mentions of the lotus are among the oldest descriptions of medical herbs in Chinese treatises, dated 2700 BC. Artists of antiquity immortalized the lotus on the walls of ritual buildings in drawings and inlays. Sacred flower, pure lotus — a cult plant in Egypt, India, Japan, China. The ponds of Buddhist temples are decorated with real lotus flowers, which are called the flower of the Buddha. The Lotus Temple, located in the capital of India, looks like a flower with 27 petals.
